I didn't start making abstracts until a very later stage within my learning process, as I always found I had no inspiration or actual willing to start panting or conceiving them. Most of my favorite artists are actually abstracts artists, like Pollock, Rothko, or even recently Puig. My abstract art is usually made with oil and acrylics, with pour and swipe, or dripping technique. I use everything I can put my hands on as a brush, but rarely a brush. I'm quite lazy and I don't buy professional tools, so I end up using some casual tools like a flattened small carton box to swipe colors on canvas on paper, or either cleaning swipes or even strings. Whatever works.
